Today I recieved a lovely colony (with 2 workers and 2 queens) of Lasius Niger from my good friend Truviper. The colony has a large brood pile. Due to my knowledge on Lasius Niger, I know they are a monogyn species. This means they may have only 1 queen per colony. That is the reason I have split the 2. Everything has been split in half. This will focus on the 2 colonies I now own.

I actually released this colony into the wild as each time i opened up their nest to feed them, lots of workers would come rushing out. And, when trying to move them to a better nest, they refused. However, they now do very well in the garden
